Spotlight Multi – Conservative Dave – April 2018

Individual Multi – Saturday 14 April 2018

Betting Tips and Previews

The Average Punter

As always, a confident Conservative Dave has thrown an extra $5 onto his individual multi this week.

Southamptom v Chelsea (win) @ $1.83 – St. Mary’s Stadium, 9.30pm Saturday

Its not very often you get the reigning champs at $1.83 against a team currently in a relegation battle, but this is the situation AP find themselves in. Now when a deal sounds too good to be true it usually is, but this Trojan Horse is coming straight in the gates unchecked and just like the Southern American border is a free pass for hazard and the boys here.

Liverpool (win and over 2.5) v Bournemouth @ $1.62 – Anfield, 2.30am Sunday

I think this is pretty easy money at Anfield and a nice little multiplier. I was tempted to take this at over 3.5 or a BTTS as Bournemouth have been a great form lately, but I think a boring consolidating Damien Martyn has his place in every state 11. Averaging not many and only drawing in friends and family, $1.62 doesn’t help much and at times you question why its there, but like a bad smell it won’t go away. Well Liverpool is our Damien Martyn and if it can turn over a couple of a easy dollars against Bangladesh the extra 3 beers we can share will be well worth the squeeze.

Barcelona and Valencia (BTTS and over 2.5 goals) @ $1.95 – Camp Nou 12.15am Sunday

There’s a subtly to this game where I think we can find some added value with BTTS and over 2.5. Valencia have won 8 from their past 9, taking 25 from a possible 27, Arsenal boys, Gabs and Coq brought in over the winter window proving correlation sometimes can prove causation. Barcelona have been shakey the past couple of weeks, and this stretches out past the Roma game, where they’ve actually conceded in their past three games before black Wednesday. At the Camp Nou I don’t think Valencia will be able to beat Barcelona who will look to push on with La Liga with nothing else to play for, but expect Valencia to be up for it here, in what shapes up to be a big match in Catalunya. NOTE: I’ve opted for BTTS and over 2.5 goals as picking Barca only gives us an extra 50c and I think Valencia is some value here.

Newcastle v Arsenal (win and BTTS) @ $4.25 – St. James’ Park, 10.30pm Sunday

I think only a seasoned Arsenal fan over the past 2-3 season could appreciate how good these odds are here. Newcastle are in form at the moment, at home and have scored in every game this calendar year. I think Arsenal’s form away is starting to turn around buoyed with winter signings, and a change of mentality. Arsenal are still conceding bulk goals, but are now capable of breaking teams down when they set up a block. The multi hinges on the Gooners but there wouldn’t be a sweeter or more fitting way to buy our third ticket than on the back of a Wenger masterclass.

$20 Multi @ 25.25 = $505
